BHBAN – Bosnia and Herzegovina Business Angels Network is a growing community of private investors supporting early-stage startups across Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans. Founded in 2022 with the support of Foundation 787, BHBAN provides a clear, structured pathway into angel investing through curated pitch sessions, expert mentorship, and opportunities for syndication.
Our mission is simple: to make angel investing more accessible, impactful, and connected — locally and across the region. We unite a diverse group of experienced professionals – entrepreneurs, business leaders, and ecosystem builders – who share a passion for fueling entrepreneurship through strategic early-stage investments.
A core pillar of our work is syndicated investing, enabling members to co-invest with one another and with regional networks, reducing individual risk while opening doors to larger, high-potential deals. In collaboration with Foundation 787, BHBAN is committed to strengthening the investor community through a range of initiatives that support both new and experienced angel investors.

Who Can Join BHBAN?
Membership is open to individuals committed to supporting early-stage startups through both capital and expertise. We seek members aligned with our values of collaboration, integrity, and long-term ecosystem growth.
✓ Investment Commitment
Commit to making at least one investment per year, starting from €3,000, with most members investing €10,000–€20,000 annually. Equity-based investments under local regulations.
✓ Time Commitment
Dedicate approximately 40 hours per year to BHBAN activities, including events, startup evaluations, and learning sessions.
✓ Collaboration & Support
Be willing to support startups beyond funding through mentorship, advice, or industry connections. Bring relevant experience as an entrepreneur, business leader, investor, or domain expert.
