About CEED Business Angels
CEED Business Angels, established in 2015 within CEED Macedonia, is the first and only formal Business Angels Club in North Macedonia. It was created to bridge the gap between ambitious early-stage founders and experienced investors who are ready to contribute not only with capital but also with mentorship, networks, and strategic guidance.
As part of both the Adriatic Investors regional platform and the European Business Angels Network (EBAN), the Club acts as a gateway through which Macedonian startups gain access to European co-investment opportunities, while local investors join a broader circle of regional and international peers.
Over the years, CEED Business Angels has evolved into a trusted platform that brings together entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals who invest in promising ventures through a structured and transparent process. Beyond capital, the Club plays an educational and catalytic role — organizing investment readiness programs, hosting pitch sessions, guiding founders through due diligence, and facilitating partnerships between investors and startups.
Our Investment Model
Sourcing & Selection
Startups are sourced through open calls or direct nominations. Selected companies enter CEED’s Investment Readiness Program to refine their pitch and business model.
Pitch & Due Diligence
Pitch sessions are organized with Club members, where investors independently express interest. CEED coordinates due diligence, valuation, and negotiation phases.
Active Engagement
Every investment is followed by active engagement. CEED and lead investors monitor progress, provide mentoring support, and prepare companies for scaling and follow-on rounds.
Exit Strategy
Exit strategies are considered from the beginning, whether through founder buy-back, strategic sale, or secondary transfer via regional investor networks.

Who Can Join
Membership is designed for individuals who want to be more than just passive financiers. It is intended for entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals who want to actively support innovation by investing not only money, but also time, insight, and connections. Entry is mainly based on invitation or reference, followed by a short onboarding process.
Investment Commitment
Members commit to making at least one investment every eighteen months, with typical tickets ranging between €10,000 and €50,000. This ensures active participation and engagement with the portfolio companies.
Financial Structure
CEED operates on a success-based model. The Club does not charge startups for participation but applies a fundraising success fee once capital is secured. Depending on the investment amount, this fee ranges from five percent on smaller tickets up to €100,000, gradually decreasing to as low as one percent on deals above €1 million.
Value Beyond Capital
Members provide mentorship, networks, and strategic guidance alongside financial investment. This creates a comprehensive support system that helps startups navigate challenges and accelerate their growth trajectory.
